A regal purple Mushroo silk Banarasi with the signature satin lustre, scattered with fine paisley buti across the body. Its defining feature is the woven Kashi Assi border — a panorama of the ghats of Varanasi with temples, domes, shrines and kishti (boats) rendered in Sona Rupa gold-and-silver zari. The pallu opens into a broad zari brocade before ending in the same ghat procession. A soulful, richly coloured saree that carries a whole riverfront of Banaras along its edge. Blouse included.
