Golden Yellow Kora Silk Banarasi Saree with Katan Silk Kaduwa Meenakari Pallu
Kora Silk Body · Katan Silk Kaduwa Weave Pallu · Meenakari Florals · Sona Rupa Zari · Vintage Inspired
A vintage-inspired Banarasi masterpiece in golden yellow Kora silk, scattered all over with fine silver butis. A sage-green woven floral band runs along the body before opening into a rich deep purple Katan silk pallu and border, densely woven in the Kaduwa technique with a diamond lattice ground and a trailing floral vine picked out in Meenakari — blue, yellow and teal blooms set in Sona Rupa (gold and silver) zari. The edge is finished with a fine magenta-and-gold pinstripe border. Rich, classy and utterly timeless. Blouse included.

Sona Rupa — literally 'gold and silver' — refers to zari work that combines both metallic threads in a single motif, a technique that reads as more layered and dimensional than single-tone zari. Paired here with the Kaduwa weave, where each Meenakari floral is individually worked with its own shuttle and locked against the warp, this pallu represents the most exacting end of Banarasi craft — the kind of piece that was traditionally woven for a bride's trousseau and kept for generations.
