A striking black Mushroo silk Banarasi saree with the signature satin lustre, scattered with small zari buti across the body. The defining feature is the woven Kashi Assi border — a panorama of the 80 ghats of Varanasi with temples, domes, shrines and kishti (boats) rendered in sona-rupa (gold and silver) zari. The pallu opens into a broad gold zari brocade before ending in the same ghat procession. A dramatic, soulful saree that carries a whole riverfront of Banaras on its edge. Blouse included.
