Rangkaat is one of Varanasi's rarest and most demanding weave structures — the word means "colour cut", referring to the way distinct colour bands are separated and woven together on the loom without a single visible join. Pairing this with a Kaduwa Meenakari border, where each floral motif is individually woven and locked against the warp, makes this saree a genuine showcase of the weaver's full range of skill.
