A truly one-of-a-kind Banarasi, hand-woven in pure Ektara Katan silk in a luminous ivory. The body is scattered with Kadwa butis worked in exquisite Meenakari — white and pink resham with soft green and orange highlights — while a rich gold zari pallu and a broad gold border, both edged in pink meena, frame the saree in classic Banaras grandeur. A matching gold blouse piece is included. In Kadwa weaving each motif is woven individually by hand, with no floats cut on the reverse, which is why no two weavers' work is ever alike — what you buy here is genuinely unique and unlikely to be found with any other seller, online or offline.

Kadwa (or Kadhua) is the most painstaking of all Banarasi techniques: instead of weaving a continuous pattern and cutting the loose threads away, the weaver builds each individual motif separately on the loom, thread by thread. It is slow, unforgiving work that can add weeks to a single saree — and it is exactly this that makes a Kadwa piece impossible to replicate. Woven on a handloom in Varanasi in pure Ektara Katan silk, this saree carries that living tradition in every buti.
