Rani Pink Silk Tanchoi Banarasi Saree with Kaduwa Meenakari Border & Pallu
Silk Tanchoi Body · Kaduwa Meenakari Border & Pallu · Purple Contrast Border · Blouse Included
A richly luminous Banarasi saree in rani pink silk with a warm orange shimmer running through the weave. The body is woven all over in the Tanchoi technique — a smooth, satin-like ogee jaal in self-tone that catches light without any surface floats. The border and pallu shift into intricate Kaduwa Meenakari: rows of gold zari buti with tiny coloured meena hearts in teal, purple and orange, framed by a deep purple contrast border and finished with a temple-tipped edge. A matching woven blouse piece completes the set. Elegant, festive and beautifully finished. Blouse included.

Tanchoi is a Banarasi weaving technique with no floats on the reverse — the extra weft is woven densely into the ground, giving a smooth satin-like surface that drapes fluidly and carries fine detail. Paired here with Kaduwa Meenakari on the border and pallu, where each motif is individually woven with its own shuttle and picked out in coloured meena accents against gold zari, this saree brings together two of Varanasi's most refined skills in one drape — understated across the body, opulent at the edges.
