A soft, feather-light Banarasi saree in rose-pink tissue cotton with a luminous gold shimmer running through the weave. The body is covered in an all-over cutwork Jamdani floral jaal — delicate trailing blooms in coral, saffron, powder blue, sage and ivory, each motif woven by hand and the loose threads clipped away so the flowers read like a watercolour garden across the warm pink ground. Wide cream Banarasi brocade borders and pallu, woven with fine buti and star motifs, frame the drape and open into a glowing pink-and-gold tissue anchal. Elegant, sophisticated and stunning. Cutwork Jamdani is one of the most painstaking Banarasi techniques — each floral motif is worked into the weave by hand with a separate thread, then the floats trailing behind are individually snipped away, leaving the blooms scattered cleanly across a sheer ground. On this tissue cotton it makes for a saree that is very soft and light to wear yet richly detailed up close: the airiness of cotton, the shimmer of tissue, and the artistry of Jamdani in one drape.
